Mini Punch Needle Embroidery:

Punch needle embroidery is a mini version to rug punch. This craft spans century of history and sometimes it is referred to as Bunka or Igolochkoy, or Russian Punch Needle.

The project is usually 4” x 5” and the tool used looks like an ink pen. The base cloth is called Weavers Cloth, and embroidery floss is used to “punch” the image. These small projects go fast and are very addicting! When finished, the pattern can be framed, used on purses or clothing, applied to boxes or other containers to give an extra element of design to them.

Supply List

  • Pattern of choice including DMC floss needed to complete the project
  • Punch Needle ($18.00 unless you have your own)
  • 8” locking embroidery hoop ($4.00 unless you bring your own)
  • Kit Fee: $18.00

  • Teacher Fee: $15.00
