Looking For More Artists!

October 2, 2013

The Wild Hare Rug Studio promotes making rugs using different methods. I have been in contact with other teachers and I am pleased to be able to offer classes in traditional rug hooking using hand dyed wool. In addition, twining rugs with fabric strips on a frame, and toothbrush rugs, which are similar to a crochet rag rug will be offered. We all know how fabric stashes accumulate and this is a great way to use them up! We are able to provide not only the lessons but the supplies, such as the rug frames, needed to make these rugs. These supplies have been made by local artisans and craftsmen. We are looking forward to adding these options for those who are interested in learning different ways to make a hand made rug. Samples will be in the studio and we will add pictures on our website as they become available.

If anyone else would like to share a skill or talent they have, please contact me. I am very interested in expanding our class offerings and providing an opportunity to those who would like to teach a class. Our studio has been designed to accommodate a group of 6-8 creative types. If there is a fiber group that is interested in meeting at the studio, please contact me and see what we can arrange for your group.
